Our story
The Muslim Academy was among the first online Islamic academies for K-12 students. Founded by Sr. Riffat Sheikh, an educator with over 20 years of experience, it was built to be a safe haven for students everywhere, with accessible education and high standards.
Our curriculum
We build our own curriculum, lesson by lesson. Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic Studies have their own classes, and Islamic values also run through reading and writing, math, science and social studies.
Children in the US and around the world learn every subject with their faith, not apart from it.
Stories, examples and discussions reflect Islamic manners and values, so what children read and learn matches what they live at home.
Our teachers write and review the lessons, and the academic subjects follow the Common Core and national standards.
Elementary school
Lessons in our own illustrated learning worlds: friendly guides teach one idea at a time, then games and a short quiz check it. Every subject carries Islamic values, alongside live Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic Studies.
Middle school
A structured yet flexible program with customized learning plans, and around-the-clock access to lessons and grades.
High school
Core subjects aligned with Common Core standards, College Board-approved AP courses, electives, and credit recovery.
Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic Studies
Students in our academic schools are enrolled in these classes automatically. Families who want only this program can enroll separately.

Has worked in education for over 20 years. Founded The Muslim Academy in 2013 and has led it ever since.
Academic Advisor
A certified teacher in the US with over 16 years of teaching experience. Oversees students' academic progress and keeps in touch with parents so every child succeeds. With the academy since 2015.
Qur'an, Arabic and Islamic Studies
Memorized the Qur'an at a young age and studied Qur'an, Arabic and Sharia at Al-Azhar University in Egypt. Specializes in tajweed and recitation, and holds an ijazah to teach the Qur'an.
Gym Instructor
NASM-certified personal trainer and AFAA-certified group fitness instructor, with a degree in Food and Nutrition from the University of Georgia and 5+ years teaching physical education and health. Makes movement fun and inclusive.

Monthly payments run from September through June. The enrollment fee is a one-time yearly fee per student, paid with your first payment; full-year payments for our academic schools already include it. Payments are made securely through Stripe, and a card processing fee of about 3% is added at checkout.
Forest Park Core gives K-2 students extra practice in reading, writing, math, science and social studies, from $14 a month. It is used alongside a school or homeschool program and does not replace a full grade.
Enrollment
Fill out the enrollment form. Submit one form for each child.
Pay the enrollment fee and your first tuition payment in the tuition table.
Our staff will contact you within 2-4 days of your payment.
Monthly payments run from September through June. Your enrollment fee is paid with your first payment.
Our curriculum follows the Common Core State Standards. Accreditation pending. A certified teacher is assigned to each student, and parents receive regular progress reports.
Once enrolled, your child takes a diagnostic placement test. We use it to build coursework and a class schedule that fits their needs.
Yes. Enrollment is flexible and open throughout the year.
Yes. Students in our academic schools are enrolled automatically. If you only want this program, you can enroll in it on its own.
You get customized reports on attendance, subject grades and overall grading, plus round-the-clock access to curriculum and grades.
